A relaxing day in Lausanne, Switzerland

A morning walk along the Lake Geneva waterfront with a warm cup of coffee is a must. The cozy caffeine paired with the crisp air, glass-like water, and snowy mountaintop views is simply meditative. I’ve never felt more calm on tour.

Bold Coffee is a great selection. The specialty coffee shop is around a 12 minute walk from the waterfront.

Dip breads, meats, and potatoes in cheese fondue at Vieil Ouchy once you get hungry. Enjoy the authentic Swiss dish outside and absorb more mountain range views. I wasn’t even cold sitting next to a heater. Not to mention the steamy fondue. Vieil Ouchy left me feeling satisfied and indulgent.

Take the free public transportation to Sisterfields Cafe, located towards the top of the hilly city center. Grab coffee, matcha, hot chocolate, and/or bites for your leisurely downhill stroll through town. If you so choose, you can also grab some dinner for later.

Or you can end your day with ramen at Naruto. Because we don’t need men, we need ramen. I’m sorry, I love a good play on words.
