Icy, clear water stares back at me, still. Snowy mountaintops surround Lake Geneva in the distance. It’s as if all unnecessary sound has been blocked from this calm oasis.
Strolling alongside Lake Geneva’s waterfront with a hot cup of coffee, my mind quiets. A single place has never felt more meditative to me.
Bold Coffee caffeinated my morning walk. The specialty coffee shop is around a 12 minute walk from the waterfront. Known locally for its bold blends and cozy atmosphere, Bold Coffee is a must in Lausanne.
Enjoying the serenity of Lake Geneva made me hungry. A girl has got to eat.

Dipping breads, meats, and potatoes in cheese fondue at Vieil Ouchy, I was able to absorb more gorgeous Lake Geneva views.
The small, local Swiss restaurant was right across from the waterfront, which made it a perfect end to my slow morning.
I wasn’t even cold sitting outside, thanks to a heater and the cheese! I left feeling simply satisfied and indulgent.
Lausanne, Switzerland was a perfect place for me to slow down and actually smell my coffee.
